The Kavela Apartments is a 66 unit mixed use project located in the Roosevelt District inSeattle.  The project was envisioned as a catalyst for development around the future light rail station  and as a key component for an evolving mixed-use urban neighborhood.  The project went through full Design Review and received praise for creating a corner gateway presence and scaling back towards the adjacent lower density neighborhood.  The building incorporates an efficient unit mix and takes advantage of height bonuses to create taller street level retail and live/ work units and upper level mezzanine units.

Worked as Project Designer and through construction administration as a consultant for Johnson Architecture.
